Global Timepieces and the independent Swiss watchmaker Gerald Charles recently hosted an exclusive two-day private exhibition at the Gloucester Arts Club in Central and the iconic cultural landmark, Tai Kwun.

The brand’s CEO, Mr. Federico Ziviani, flew in from Switzerland to personally share the brand’s core aesthetic philosophy with esteemed guests of Global Timepieces. Amidst an artistic dinner and intimate hands-on sessions, guests were granted a rare opportunity to preview “future timepieces” before their official debut at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026.

A Global First: An Exclusive 72-Hour Preview Ahead of Geneva

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of six evolutionary timepieces originally slated for release during Watches and Wonders Geneva.

These novelties made their global debut in Hong Kong for a limited 72-hour window before being transported back to Switzerland. These creations faithfully uphold the iconic asymmetrical architectural aesthetics of the master watchmaker Gérald Charles Genta, while introducing pioneering innovations in movement technology and material application.

Masterlink Perpetual Calendar: The Intersection of Complication and Everyday Elegance

The Masterlink collection welcomes its most significant technical milestone since the brand’s reorganization. This timepiece is powered by the in-house developed GCA11000 automatic perpetual calendar calibre, representing a rare horological feat of housing a high complication within an asymmetrical case.

  • Technical Breakthrough: Overcoming the engineering challenges of a non-geometric case, the watch achieves a water resistance of 100 meters, bringing exceptional practicality to the perpetual calendar category.

  • Legibility & Logic: Moving away from the cluttered layouts of traditional perpetual calendars, it utilizes three large, non-concentric counters to provide clear visual guidance, translating complex calendar functions into a refined aesthetic language.

  • Craftsmanship & Materials: The case and bracelet are crafted from Grade 5 Titanium, featuring the exclusive Darkblast® treatment on select surfaces, providing a velvet-like touch and enhanced scratch resistance.

The Mini Maestro: A Poetic Reimagining of Proportions

Inspired by the unique GC58 piece created by Mr. Genta in 2006, the new The Mini Maestro debuts with a refined 30mm diameter, reflecting the brand’s elegant insight into the unisex and formal watch markets.

  • Exquisite Details: The titanium case is complemented by a bezel set with 54 diamonds (totaling 0.53 cts), while the dial features a delicate Clous de Paris motif.

  • Versatile Transformation: Equipped with an in-house developed easy-release system, the wearer can effortlessly switch between various colors of leather or rubber straps to suit any occasion.

Crafting the Legacy: Hand Hammering Workshop

In addition to the novelty previews, the event featured a traditional Hand Hammering workshop.

Guests experienced the transformation of metal textures through the rhythmic use of ancient watchmaking tools. This pursuit of material excellence serves as a sincere tribute to the uncompromising spirit of Mr. Genta.
